Questions
Heat pump installation FAQ
How much does a heat pump installation cost?
It depends on your home's size, layout, and whether you go ductless or ducted. We give you a clear written price after a free site survey. Rebates and financing can bring your cost down.
Will one heat pump heat my whole house?
It depends on your layout. Open-concept homes often do well with one head; homes with closed-off rooms or several floors may need a multi-head or ducted system. We'll tell you honestly at the site survey.
Do heat pumps work in Cape Breton winters?
Yes. Today's cold-climate heat pumps keep heating well below freezing. We size your system for Nova Scotia winters, not average weather.
Do I keep my old heating system?
Most homeowners keep their existing heat as a backup for the coldest days. We'll go over the options for your home during the survey.
Do I need a home energy assessment to get a rebate?
For Efficiency Nova Scotia rebates through the Home Energy Assessment, yes, and it has to be booked before the work starts. Book it first, then get your quote from us.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, financing is available on installs. Ask about it at your site survey.
How often should a heat pump be cleaned?
At least once a year keeps it running efficiently. Pro Care covers your cleanings and labour on up to 3 service visits a year.
